Senior Manager position overview:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Manager for our Powertrain Shop in Pune. This role is crucial in maintaining and improving the performance of electrical and electronic machinery in our Engine shop. The ideal candidate will focus on enhancing safety, quality, productivity, and cost-efficiency.

Reporting to: Deputy General Manager
Band & Level: Level 5
Hiring Manager: Shrikant K. Chavan (Maintenance)

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Maintenance: Ensure maximum uptime of electronic machines and equipment within the engine shop.

• System Improvement: Implement innovative improvements in electronic systems focusing on safety, quality, cost reduction, and productivity.

• Spare Parts Planning: Proactively plan for electronic spare parts to minimize downtime.

• Breakdown Coordination: Oversee and coordinate repair activities across all shifts.

• Downtime Analysis: Analyze equipment downtime and provide Immediate Corrective Actions (ICA) and Permanent Corrective Actions (PCA) for electronic failures.

• Team Coordination: Lead and delegate tasks to team members effectively.

• Improvement Initiatives: Identify and implement opportunities for reducing Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) and Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) through concepts like Kaizen and Quality Control Circles (QCC).

• Solution Development: Design and execute solutions for chronic electronic issues.

• Power Saving Initiatives: Develop and implement strategies to reduce power consumption across the shop.

Technical Expertise Required:

• Electronic Systems Proficiency: Strong knowledge in PLC systems (AB, Siemens S7-300), CNC systems (Fanuc, Siemens), and networking.

• Maintenance Experience: Extensive experience in maintaining electronic systems, including DC Nut Runners, Test Beds, VMC, HMC, SPM, and other general-purpose machines.

• Component-Level Repair: Ability to repair electronic parts down to the component level.

• Assembly Line Expertise: Experience with electronic systems maintenance for assembly lines and engine test bed equipment.

• Powertrain Systems Knowledge: Knowledge of maintenance systems and best practices in a powertrain environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (B.E).

• Experience: 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in electrical and electronics maintenance, with a focus on troubleshooting.
