Cipla is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Lab Glassware Technician to join our pharmaceutical team at Fall River, Massachusetts. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the quality and cleanliness of laboratory glassware, organizing lab supplies, and ensuring adherence to cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices). This is a full-time position where you will contribute to the smooth operation of the QC laboratory in a pharmaceutical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
As a QC Glassware Technician, your primary duties will include but are not limited to:
- Glassware Cleaning & Organization: Perform cleaning, drying, and organization of all lab glassware.
- Supply Management: Assist in maintaining lab supplies and consumables, including placing orders as needed.
- Waste Management: Assist with proper waste disposal within the lab.
- DI Water System Maintenance: Ensure proper maintenance of the lab's deionized water system.
- Housekeeping: General housekeeping and cleanliness of the QC lab to ensure a safe working environment.
- Other Duties: Complete any additional tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED).
- Communication: Must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and relevant scientific software.
- Industry Experience: Previous experience in a pharmaceutical lab is highly preferred. Candidates must have at least one year of lab or housekeeping experience, particularly in glassware cleaning.
- Teamwork: Excellent organizational, learning, and communication skills with a strong ability to work in teams.
Professional Competencies:
• Must be comfortable working in a pharmaceutical packaging and lab environment.
• Willingness to work on first or second shifts, including some weekends depending on business needs.
• Must possess a positive and professional attitude, be flexible with tasks, and exhibit teamwork.
Working Conditions:
The role is based in a cGMP-compliant laboratory or manufacturing setting, where personal protective equipment (PPE) is required (e.g., lab coats, safety glasses, etc.). The position requires working around solvents, powders, and other pharmaceutical materials. You must be physically capable of standing or walking for extended periods and lifting up to 35 pounds. Weekend or holiday shifts may be required.
