The Indian Navy has announced a recruitment drive for the post of SSC Executive in Information Technology (IT). A total of 18 vacancies are available, open to both male and female candidates. This opportunity is ideal for those with a background in MSc, BE, B.Tech, or M.Tech, specifically in fields related to computer science and technology.
Eligibility Criteria for Indian Navy
SSC Executive (IT):
Candidates
must meet the following criteria to be eligible:
- A minimum
of 60% marks in English in either Class X or XII.
- A minimum
of 60% overall marks in any of the following degrees:
- MSc, BE,
B.Tech, or M.Tech in Computer Science, Computer Science and Engineering, Computer
Engineering, Information Technology, Software Systems, Cyber Security, System
Administration and Networking, Computer Systems and Networking, Data Analytics,
Artificial Intelligence.
- MCA with
BCA or BSc in Computer Science or Information Technology.
Age Limit:
Applicants
should be born between 2nd January 2000 and 1st July 2005.
Selection Process:
The
selection process includes an examination followed by an interview. Only
candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be considered for these stages.
Tenure and Probation:
Selected
candidates will be granted a Short Service Commission (SSC) initially for 10
years, with the possibility of extension for up to 4 additional years in two
terms of 2 years each, depending on service requirements, performance, and
medical eligibility.
The
probation period for SSC (IT) Officers is set for two years, starting from the
date of commissioning as a Sub Lieutenant. During this period, officers can be
discharged if their performance is deemed unsatisfactory.
