With a legacy spanning over 30 years, the University of Southampton Auditory Implant Service (USAIS) has been dedicated to transforming lives through its exceptional all-age service, providing implantable hearing devices and specialized audiology services. Situated at the Highfield Campus, we are now in search of an innovative and dynamic Director to lead our service full-time.

The Role:

As the Director, you will have the responsibility of overseeing all facets of the University of Southampton Auditory Implant Service, acting as the CQC registered manager to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality clinical care. Your key responsibilities will include:

 

- Developing strategic partnerships with multiple NHS Trusts, private healthcare providers, commissioners, and stakeholders to advance our service.

- Providing senior leadership and general management, focusing on service delivery, development, and quality assurance.

- Managing the service budget effectively to ensure financial sustainability and optimal resource allocation.

- Supporting staff performance, training, and wellbeing to maintain a high level of expertise and morale.

- Overseeing research and education programs to drive innovation and advancement in audiology services.

 

About You:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

- Proven experience in successful management within an NHS Foundation Trust or similar organization.

- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to influence external bodies and foster collaboration.

- Previous involvement in health service development and reconfiguration, demonstrating adaptability and strategic thinking.

- Postgraduate qualification and/or equivalent professional qualifications in a clinical service.
